Why is career planning important?

Planning is important in life. It plays an important role in your success and failure.

Similarly, planning is very important in a career. Without planning, you will work hard without any direction.

Career planning decides what you are going to become, and what you are going to achieve in life

I personally suggest you, plan your career in advance. This will help you focus and give you direction to work with.

How to choose a career after the 12th?

1. Setup a Goal/ Decide your Aim

To choose a better career, first, you have to set a goal. You have to decide in which field you want to make a career.

  • What do you want to do after the 12th?
  • Ask yourself questions like -
  • Do you want to be? i.e. – Engineer, Doctor, Astronaut, CA, Manager, Software Engineer, etc.
  • What subjects are you interested in?
  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  • What are your favorite subjects and colleges?

Your goal should be realistic and achievable, not just a "daydream". When your goal is fixed you can concentrate well and work hard to achieve your goal.

Once you have set a goal the next step is – “Planning”. Plan how you will achieve that goal?

Plan your tasks. Select your desired course and college in advance. It is quite possible that even after all your hard work, you may not get the subject or college of your choice.

But remember, this is not the end.

You should have a "Backup" option, we suggest that you have at least 2-3 backup options in case you are unable to find your favorite subject or college.

Surely you may have to face many problems. But you have to stick to your goal.

Stay focused on your goal in any situation. This is probably the most important part of your career planning.

2. Identify your skills and interests.

Explore yourself. Your abilities. Your strengths and weaknesses. Everyone has their own abilities. Understand the limits of your skills and knowledge.

Find out what you are good at. What subjects are you most interested in?

To find out, answer these basic questions-

  • Which subject period do you like to participate in the most?
  • Which subject do you like the most?
  • What is your greatest strength?
  • What is your family background?
  • What do you want to be
  • What is your passion?
  • What is your goal??

Once you can answer these questions, you will have a clear direction toward a career choice.

3. Explore Career Options.

Today, there are so many career options available that students often get confused – which career should I choose? What career should I choose?

Even if you are not sure about the subject or field, there are many career options available.

For example, if you are sure you want to do engineering, but which one?

There are lots of branches available in engineering from computer engineering to civil engineering and from aeronautical engineering to biochemical engineering

Similarly, if your career goal is to study Computer Science, the same things happen,

There are a lot of things to learn in computer science, from software development to artificial intelligence to data science.

You have to make sure which course is best suited for you.

4. Understand the Future Prospects

Be aware of the future prospects of your chosen career options.

Study about future growth opportunities. It is suggested that you choose a career that is in high demand in the future. High demand in the future.

Understand the “trends” of the curriculum.

Also, check the job/career opportunities and pay scale.

Check these things - Check these things -

  • Is the course in high demand?
  • Does that have a good pay scale?
  • Will that course have good growth in the future?
  • Is the course helpful in improving skills and knowledge?
  • Does this text Yakram impact industries? Is that course impact on industries?

5. Make a decision. Make a Decision.

Make your decision, or more preciously, 'Make your own Decisions'.

Analyze the courses/career options and make a final decision.

You will get a lot of career advice from family and friends but do not follow them blindly.

Make your own career choices. Be unique, be original. Be Unique, Be Original

Do your own research, search the internet, seek career counseling, consult a career coach, and visit the websites of your selected colleges/universities.

Gather all the information as per your interested courses and then 'Shortlist'.

You must understand the course details like –

  •    What are the course details?
  •    What is the syllabus?
  •    What will you learn in that course?

6. Think outside the box. Think Outside the Box.

Don't be a sheep. Don't be a sheep. Don't blindly follow anyone, think something new, think something different. Be prepared to take qualitative risks

The world has changed a lot. Today we have new technology that was not available before.
